VALENCIENNES, France and BEIJING – May 28, 2018 – Tiertime, a leading manufacturer of 3D printers, and Machines-3D, Europe’s number one E-Shop for 3D printing, have agreed to cooperatively launch Tiertime’s three upcoming printer models in Europe.
Tiertime’s X5, UP300 and UP mini 2 ES will be on display in the Machines-3D booth, D24, at 3D PRINT, held in Hall 1 of EUREXPO in Lyon, France, June 5 – 7, 2018. Representatives from both companies will be on hand to answer questions and provide demonstrations.
“Machines-3D is the perfect partner to help bring our new products to the European market,” said Joseph Guo, International Sales and Marketing Director, Tiertime Corporation. “Their expertise serving a wide range of professional and industrial customers is an ideal match for our 2018 lineup.”
The new Tiertime machines feature an enhanced touchscreen with updatable programming, allowing future upgrades to the touchscreen’s options. The 2018 line also includes Ethernet ports for hard-wired networking and additional USB ports for loading models from a USB memory stick. Each new printer is compatible with Tiertime Print Queue, a software/hardware combination providing an interface to manage a series of print jobs assigned by authorized users.
Available in June, the UP mini 2 ES is an improved version of the popular UP mini 2, renowned for quality ABS printing on a tight budget. Rather than replace a best-seller, Tiertime chose to make it better by adding its latest engineering techniques.
Scheduled for availability in the US and Europe in September, the UP300 and X5 are completely fresh designs. The UP300 is a larger machine with a build volume of 205 × 255 × 225 mm. It comes with three purpose-specific extruders – one for ABS, one for PLA, and one for TPU. Its interchangeable print head design allows for future extruder development as user demand for certain materials increases. It also comes with an improved air-filtration system. Separate HEPA and activated carbon filters recirculate the build chamber’s air to minimize VOC and UFP emissions. A dual extruder option is planned for later release.
The X5 is Tiertime’s crowning achievement to date. It is a continuous 3D printing system, a fully enclosed printer with a print bed vault containing several spare beds. When a print job completes, its print bed is expelled from the side of the machine and is automatically replaced, ready for the next job from the Tiertime Print Queue. Previously used and cleaned print beds can be inserted into a side door of the vault during printing, allowing for near-non-stop production. It can utilize a filament spool up to 2kg, so continuous printing can be achieved via minimal spool and vault maintenance.
“Machines-3D is proud to work with Tiertime on the release of these new 3D printers in Europe,” said Antoine Motte, CEO, Machines-3D. “We expect Tiertime’s new products and our experience fulfilling the needs of professionals to be a winning combination.”
