filament stuck to base

Post by WestCygnum » Mon Jan 02, 2017 11:10 am

Hello!
I have been printing for a few months now and have just accidently printed something with the calibration too high. As a result, some material has stuck to the base and won't come off, any tips how to remove this?

Use the included scraper to scrape off the top of the perfboard, the filament in the holes of the perfboard will remain but will not cause any issues.

Yes what Rick said, use the scrapper and be quite rough with it.

Use caution when using the scraper so that you don't accidentally cut your hand, something I have done more than once. LOL

I'd be surprised if there is anyone who owns a 3D printer for any amount of time that hasnt sliced a finger open with a scraper or razor at some time. One of the first lessons you learn after doing it once or twice!!
