Which one is the thermistor and the heating element ?

Post by flagador » Fri Oct 28, 2016 10:22 am

Hello, I have a Up! mini and i bought a new heating block on aliexpress (from tiertime) and i have a problem, when i try to extrude, it says the nozzle is at -6.3°c and when it gets hotter, it says -5.5°c, so i pulled out the two things that are wired to the up mini (the two metal things) There are a big and a smal one, do you know which one is the thermistor and which one is supposed to heat the nozzle ? For me , the small one is getting hot ! Because of the wrong temperature displayed, i can't do anything . Do you know someting I could do to solve it ?

The thermistor is the smaller part and the heater is the larger.

You most likely have a break in a wire in your ribbon cable or just a bad connection in your thermistor circuit.
