I have this one and highly recommend it (bought 4), I use it in a remote setting so I do not have to chase the buttons to change the temp as the extruder moves about.

I think both are a waste of money. Been running this mod for everything for two years now ... http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:528396
Easy to use, easy to read and you can make it yourself for under $10 or get it off one of us who make it for about $30 (+postage)

Well I do totally accept your opinion Drew, it is a very nice piece of kit and the rolls royce of temp mods. Unfortunately, it also comes with a hefty price tag (10% of the value of my Up Plus) so I feel it's a bit extravagant when the simple ones I use do the same without any disadvantage and are just as easy to use. But as I said before, that's just my opinion which is why I prefixed with "I think".

I used to use also a temp mod with resistors... but since FixUp3D is available, there is no need to modify the hardware anymore. With this software you can easily trim the temperatures as you require.

And for those of you running it on a Mac (like I do), you can run the software under VirtualBox in a Win8 session. No need to boot with Parallels into Windows :-)

I am actually still stuck with a manual mod because I often want to modify the temp throughout a print. Something I miss from reprap software slicers.
