Hi Guys,
Has anyone came across this problem before?
Printer not start, just fast blinking lights after the sending stage, even has reached max temperature (260c)
Sd card checked - passed
ROM: 6.100
At the bottom right msg: " Over Usage Restriction Layer:0"
Cheers,
Andries

Re: UP Mini - Over Usage Restriction Layer:0 & Flashing Ligh
I've not had that specific message but I've only just switched over to the Windows client for most prints. It was extremely common to get extra fast blinky lights on upload on the Mac client. The fix was always completely power off the printer (cord removed for 20 seconds) and restart everything. Some prints would never work unless I changed something like rotate the print or run through a different version (Netfabb). I never managed to isolate the cause mostly because it would always happen when I was in a hurry to get a print out.
If you problem is similar... after fast flashing lights, reinitialise didn't fix it (would recur on next upoad attempt), often power off alone didn't seem to fix it (maybe unlucky - evil print making the Mac Up App a bit nuts and I didn't try something different). So to be safe pull the power for a bit before you try again.
One thing of note it was definietly much more likely to occur if you printer and computer did not share a ground. I had the printer on a UPS for a while and it happened so often I was about to send my mainboard back.
Not sure if I've helped there ... but maybe some useful info.

Under warranty still?
Re: UP Mini - Over Usage Restriction Layer:0 & Flashing Ligh
Nope, there is an option to extend the warranty for $295
But, it's a bit tough for me to chew. Hopefully it's only software glitch.
I have been waiting for ROM V6.1 from the supplier. I want to re-flash the system as my last resort.
