No Perf Plate

Post by Deet » Tue Aug 12, 2014 11:03 am

Hi all

Just received my Up Mini today, and much to my distress I couldn't find the perf plate anywhere in the box

Where is it usually packed?

Just so I can try and print something, what could I use as a substitute plate until (I assume) a replacement plate is shipped to me

I think they put them in the small cardbox box that contains all the tools - the scraper, xacto knife, etc.

You probably should contact the distributor you purchased your unit from for replacements. I believe it is supposed to come with 3 perfboards.

Bummer!

If you can cut a piece of 3mm acrylic 140x140 that will do the trick. Otherwise you might find one in the post tomorrow....

psst, 3mm thick build plates doesn't work on the mini. Unless you remove the heat bed and install a thinner washer to replace the little L shaped mounting bracket.
I don't think Deet wants to do that with a brand new UP mini :?

Cutting PMMA or PC works but NOT thicker than 2mm. Preferably 1.5mm thick
Always breath out on the way UP
