Mini: X+limit error help!

Post by Steveb56 » Sun Jan 05, 2014 9:18 pm

Hi

UpInspector has given me a X+limit error.

All my prints do not finish.

I have reseeded my SD card.

What are my options to correct?

Thanks

Steve

Somewhere along your X-limit switch you have an intermittent short, check the connector to the switch and look for a break in the cable.

Also check that the x limit cable is not touching the metal frame

Thanks everyone for the reply. At least I have it isolated now.

How do I identify the x-limit cable?

When i had this problem, i just pulled the platform manually towords me.
This happened when i tried to remove the perfboard and accidently pushed the belt (and motor) to move.
The UP! Mini remembers it's position and thinks it has reached the end before it actually was there.

Another time, the clips touched the backplate on the inside. This is fixed by pulling the platform towords you.

When this happens with the extruder motion, check if the end switch is still attached, it could have been broken off it's mouting or bended.
Just turn your mini off and try if you can see where it hits the switch. (use a phone to capute images if you can't see it with your eyes).
Now you should be able to find the problem. See if it's needed to bend the switch lever or there is other action required.
