Printing off bed, stuffed up y coordinates?

Post by jamesmtaylor » Thu Aug 29, 2013 2:15 pm

Hi there,

I'm a new user, just got my up mini a couple of weeks ago. Was working great until I tried it today. For some reason everything is printing off centre and I can't get anything to fit on the bed properly...it's also printing crazy weird stuff for rafts. Filament if flowing well though, so no complaints there!

I tried updating/restoring the firmware to make sure it wasn't that. Tried with a number of different .stl's (and ones I've used before). Tried even a small one and it just stuffed up completely (didn't go off the board this time, was close though, but was just a mess)

Pretty unhappy, does anyone have any suggestions? I use this for work and would ideally need it up again ASAP.

Thanks all.

James

It sounds similar to http://www.pp3dp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=5943 (my problem) and http://www.pp3dp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=22625 (XSthomas's).

Once the printer got initialized, all three axes are holded by the motors. So you can check if the Y axis drivetrain has a loose couping or not by pushing the table by fingers.

Sorry I never replied to this!

For reference, the rubber belt had slipped off the gears....my bad.

I got it sorted not long after and things have been well since. :D
