Up Mini not working out of the box

Post by Handy » Sun Jul 21, 2013 2:38 am

Paid for an Up Mini bit over a month ago. Got it 10 days later. Set up according to the book but a few minutes into the bunny for the first time, platform crashed to the bottom and the printer switched itself off.
Started again multiple times including with support on the phone with same result.
Sent of to Sydney service centre. Got it back two weeks later and same problem still happening.
Is this why they say to keep the packaging material? How many dont work out of the box? Where is the quality assurance?
So over a month after paying my money still only have a thousand dollar paperweight.
Waiting to hear from support to see what the next move is.

Support has been great from Dale at 3d Printing Systems.

They are sending a replacement.

So a big thumbs up- support when there is a problem is a great measure of how good a product/ service is.

Thanks.

Once your printer starts printing then unplug the USB from your computer. There is an issue a bit of an issue with Up! printers and noise over the USB making them freak out while printing. You're problem seems to fit the symptoms of that issue.

Seems like your post is 3 days old ... I assume you are the victim of slow moderation ... after a few posts you will find your requests go straight through.

A new printer has been sent to you, so you'll be up and running soon!
