Mini: Model send - flashing blue/red lights [solved]

Post by Ohr » Tue Oct 30, 2012 3:30 pm

Hello together
New in 3D printing. And have the new UP Mini. Prepared and started the engine. But every time I transferd the model (confirmed), the on/off button starts fast flashing blue/red and nothing happens for more than an hour.

Lamp inside the printer is on, heat is 270 and ok. Software maintenance shows the details and is online.

Mac OS X 10.8, up mini, sw 1.3

Thanks for help

Could you test with a windows PC using the UP software and report the error message. Its possibly the micro SD card needs to be re seated.

Thanks for the answer. Here my results (1.17, 6.06 from factory):

Mac UP "print again" command starts building the bottom table -> when starting the model -> fast blue-red flashing nothing happens any more.
Stop printing command stops the printer from the software.

WinUP same behavior like the Mac version. Preparing on the computer ok, sending layer starts.
Then sometimes it stops by sending Layer 1
Sometimes the messages appears "can't load motion program" ( SD Card Error Layer;() )
Can't be stopped from the software, no responds. Manually to turn off the printer.

UP Inspector says with test SD card "passed", but "read printer parameters" gives two messages: first the correct nozzle high, then second "Error Code: 003, Can't read print param from computer & printer"

So far - thanks for any help!

Some other things to check. Ensure you are running the 3D printer on the same power supply as your PC.

Thanks a lot!
It was the SD Card. Taken out and back in and everything works now fine.

Mini Model send flashing blue/red lights solved

I believe that on Linux and OSX you can use system.debuglog. Windows, on the other hand, doesnt have the same concept of a single "command prompt" that you can access. cmd.exe is just another windows application. You can have several running at the same time.

What are you trying to accomplish? That would help steer the responses you will get.
