Up! Mini platform won't go down...[solved]

Post by Madox » Thu Oct 18, 2012 11:51 am

I don't even own an Up! mini but I'm trying to troubleshoot an unit that refuses to move downwards. Has anyone had this problem before?

I hope its not the limit switch being broken...

My instinct was right... it's the limit switch wire, it seems to have had come off probably due to shipping/transit...

For future prosperity...

If anyone experiences this symptom, it is likely to be the limit switch failure or wires to the limit switch breaking. Only requires minor surgery with a soldering iron to reattach.

Yes I read that somewhere, that wire came off because the printed part that lifts the platform and attaches it to the Z belt touches the wires of the switch.

I think that person got another part from PP3DP to fix it.

Maybe there should be a troubleshoot list for things like this because searching the forum isn't always getting you all the answers (allthough there is a lot of info here of course).
