So i been trying to use some other filaments such as TPU, Colorfabb XTCF20 (yup have fitted steel nozzle!) and some Big Rep HT Pro (vern nice filament with high glass temp like ABS but almost zero warping unlike ABS!)..

Anyway the extruder would shave the filament in the ProHT and Colorfabb XTCF20 and stope feeding after a few layers. Ive seen this problem on some of my other printers and its down to lack of clamping pressure on the filament against the extruder drive gear. Quick serarch on Thingiverse and found this

Very easy mod if your mechanically minded and these filaments actually feed really well now.. it has also improved surface finish quality too getting rid os shimmering effects in the print. I would say and absolute must upgrade

Nice mod!! Looks very similar to the TPU extruder on the UP300.

Good to know there's options for extruder modifications.
