Printing a void with no support for part insert using pause

Post by Mrdaved » Mon Apr 14, 2014 4:57 pm

I want to print parts that have inserted nuts or bolt heads. I want to pause at a certain height and insert nut. This requires printing the void with no support. Can this be done on my Afinia?

Yes, turning support off (in printsettings set support to base only). Or you can rotate your part in a way so that the spacing of the nut does not need support.

I do not see the base only setting. Where is it?

Do you have the latest version of the PC software? Don't know if this options is yet available on the MAC version. You can find this option under printsettings.

It's in the pulldown for minimum support area.
