Is there any mods tht I can connect an USB device to power some small options from the UP
I know I can do that from my laptop but just wondering if I can have an option from the UP

AFAIK, the UP is a USB device (or peripheral) only.
It cannot be a host or OTG, therefore no 5v supply comes out of it.
UP plus, Ultimaker2 & Raise N2+ Printers.

There are 5v outputs on the main board to power 5v devices. In order to control them, you would need another computer (raspberry pi?)
