filament storage

Post by rvalle » Tue Dec 10, 2013 5:06 pm

Hi!

I have ordered a few different ABS filaments to test colours/transparent.

How should they be stored so that they keep their quality?

Also, they are not original UP! ABS, but "seems" to work on the UP!. What would you say is a good "test" print to check it works OK?

R.

So the moisture doesn't get to them. I use an airtight drum and the bottom 10cm is filled with kitty litter to absorb moisture. Others keep them on or near the water heater. Whatever you can do to keep it dry and if not dry warm to keep the relative humidity low.

Thanks for the replies.

Got a plastic container with decent sealing and added some silica gel bags...

Will see how it goes.
