My Up Plus is approaching two years old, which means the 2nd year extended warranty is going to run out in a few months.
I have the old style platform heater which breaks fairly reliably about every 4-8 weeks if I'm printing heavily. So far, they've all been replaced under warranty. But if I have to start buying replacements this often, it's a killer.
I'm thinking about upgrading to an Up Plus 2--I know they've made a lot of design tweaks in the past two years. Has anyone else made this upgrade? Worth it, or not?
Talk about anything.

When I replaced my broken heater cable, I put a couple sheets of thick vellum between the cable and the upper metal part of the arm to insulate the cable and reduce the friction. I also put some strain relief between the cable and the corner where it broke. My new cable has lasted twice as long as the old one and doesn't show signs of warping like the old one (I got about 4 months out of the original cable). I'm not sure the changes made a difference, but it may be worth trying.
