I've never actually drilled a nozzle, but in the past I've run a fine wire through them to clear clogs. I subsequently found that the most significant clogging actually occurs behind the 0.4mm aperture, in the "middle chamber", which is just big enough to twizzle a 1/16" bit around in. Cleaning the gunk out of there can make a big difference. That said, I haven't taken a nozzle off in months (knock on wood). The pass-the-filament-through-a-piece-of-foam trick seems to help a lot. I just thought these bits would be handy to have around in case of emergency.
