Hey Guys! Check out the video we made for the new UP Plus 2!

My friend and I work at UP 3D USA, and we spent a little time to make this video for the new UP Plus 2. Let us know what you think!

That looks really great!

The video really shows the auto-detect and auto-adjust features. If nothing else is required than what is shown in the video, then that is simply AWESOME, and a great feature above the competition when it comes to "any mans 3d printer"... That is one of the biggest concerns I have when buying a printer, "how hard is it to adjust the flat bed"... :)

Thanks for a great video, even though I did not like the "jumping"/skipping of frames effect used (I'm not an MTV-person ;)

Nice indeed! Thank you for making those videos.

I personally like the automatic detect and calibration possibility.
Some people (the professionals) here see that it doesn`t give anything special for them ;),
but honestly saying if it work so easy it will help to do things faster!

Thanks,

Hi
from the video it appears that only the Up! print bed board will be able to be used.
Many 3D printer users prefer to use other print surfaces, me included, but from the way it self levels and adjusts the height of the bed, it appears in the video that only the thickness of the standard Up! board will be able to be used.
If this is the case, model adhesion to the board will need to be considerably better than the previous model.
I would be interested to know if the height calibration can be adjusted to cater for differing thicknesses of the various types of non-Up! boards that some Uppers prefer to use.
Just my own opinion.
Regards
Lawrence

Shouldn't be an issue as you just tweak your start height based on the thickness of the board you want to use relative to the stock board. On a different note, I also find my perfboard some of the best platform material I have used in 3 years of reprap/3D printing.
