Re: UP software v1.18 beta, support platform level calibrati

I noticed some mention of support being easier to remove in the latest versions (1.17 or 1.18)....maybe this is why the print is peeling off the raft more easily. My guess is that the gap or timing between support surface and the next layer has been increased to reduce adhesion. I really think it's ...

Re: UP software v1.18 beta, support platform level calibrati

And talking of bugs you may want to correct the words at the top of the calibration window:

Elevate the platform until the heightest piont contact with the nozzle

might read better as:

Elevate the platform until the highest point is in contact with the nozzle

Thanks!

Re: UP! Software and ROM v1.17 Final

Changed the system language from Italian to English but it did not work...
How about the decimal seperator symbol ? That could still have remained as a comma which the software may not like and get confused when it is reading your printer's current ROM and firmware versions.

Re: Print quality of the new colored ABS?

The only place I'm aware of is iSupply3D, but they only sell twin packs and that makes it very expensive to buy one of each colour. isupply3d.com are now selling a Rainbow pack - one reel of each colour including white. Umm.... how do you print at .15? My settings only go down to .2? Does the print...

Re: UP! mini

1. There is a beta version of 1.18 which allows level to be calibrated. There are also other ways to physically improve it mentioned on this forum. 2. The filament, although well made, will vary very slightly. My guess is its 1.75 with a negative tolerance of 0.020mm 3. Other filaments may work, som...

Re: Spam fighting...

Hi, I moderate on a couple of other boards with similar spam problems. We have implemented a similar strategy and find we generally only have to put the moderation restriction on the first couple of posts and ban accounts immediately on really obvious spam. More than that and new users were getting...

Re: Cubify - 3D printing for everyone! (or maybe not)

The link below is also a nice read, turns out the models (Raspberry Pi) they showed with the Cube at TCT weren't even printed on the Cube but on a BFB! http://richrap.blogspot.nl/2012/09/tct2 ... ustry.html Yep, the most of the Cubify stuff I see has models that have clearly not been printed on the...

Re: 0.15mm layer option not shown

The 0.15mm option is in v6.041 not 6.04
However, the help screen information seems to round off the .001 from the ROM version so you can't be sure if it's 6.04 or 6.041 !
Try updating again from the 6.041 ROM file

Re: UP! Software and ROM v1.17 Final

Hi Jena67, When you update the ROM 5.041, is the error message still same like you update the ROM 6.041? Can you show me the dialogues that saying the new error massage? Btw, is your UP printer, UP! basic or UP! plus? I think Jena67 is saying he gets the same message as his previous screenshots: ht...

Re: No wonder I get warping...

I'm with Drew on this one., except I just use the original UP! aluminum bed and put Kapton tape straight onto that. for the cost of a roll of Kapton tape it's worth trying. Even if you cannot get the wide rolls, just lay several sections of narrower Kapton tape next to each over just butting up. Yo...

Unfortunately they won't care...they will never see a PM as they'll never login here again, they've done their 'business' and moved on. Many of them look like this anyway! robot-spammer.jpg If we all end up going to their website then we're playing into their hands...all they want is as many clicks ...
