Re: Replacement Ribbon Cable

Try a distributor of the printer, my recommendation is Octave here in the US and they have contacts all over the world.
https://www.octave.com/
Contact them and I'm willing to bet they can help you.

Re: Information about the extrusion head

This leads me to my question. Can anybody give me some detailed Information about the extrusion head from UP3D? Its quite hard to get Information about this. Christopha PM me with your private email address and I can send you a 3D PDF of the extruder design on my "UP Plus Pro" that you can study. R...

Yes Apple's not very helpfull, if you can run a windows emulator I would suggest trying AutoDesk 123D, it is free and seems quite good.

Re: G'day from Australia

Welcome.

I suggest you read up on my posts to see what you may need to do to make things work better but you shouldn't have too many issues if you stay with the OEM plastics.

What modeling programs do you use?

I would recommend you check this thread out.

The slicer is built into the UP software (it is all in one).

You will need a few mods to be successful using other PLA products.

Re: PLA extrusion problems-> only half solved

This is the fix for all the issues of other types of filament in your UP Plus.
Also the Canola oil will build up in the barrel and nozzle and reduce then clog the plastics path.

Re: ? temp mod

I have this one and highly recommend it (bought 4), I use it in a remote setting so I do not have to chase the buttons to change the temp as the extruder moves about.

Re: Tried borosilicate glass

I use glass and glue stick all the time on all the machines at my work (4) and home (2), always get the part off before it cools completely or it will most likely break the glass, I always set the build plate to keep heating for 60 minutes after printing to give time to get back to the machine to re...

Re: Gaps between splitted parts

To fill these gaps I recommend a visit to your local beauty supply shop and pick up a large cheap bottle of pure acetone (under $5 here) and several empty nail polish bottles with brush in cap (about 25 cents each) and fill the bottles 3/4 with acetone and then snip in some ABS in a single matching ...

I would guess you did not allow for shrinkage of the single parts.

Re: Problems with PLA part way through print

It is almost as if the head gets too hot and causes the PLA to seize in the print head. (I have already ran into printing PLA when set to ABS, not fun to clean out). this issue is not that the filament type is set incorrectly. Hi Brian, You should do a little research, PLA does not like the all ste...

I bought the printer new from Octave and they told me they wouldn't help me. They said I had to go to the manufacturer. I'm sorry but I do not believe you about Octave, I personally know them and have never heard this sort of thing before. I'm sure that there was some sort of misunderstanding on yo...

Your build plate is not trammed or level to the nozzle, you are describing a classic case of this.

Re: Up Mini Auto Level

The "UP Mini" never had "Auto Leveling".
The software has the capacity only for the UP Plus, stop clicking it, it will never work for a "Mini".
