Re: printer not extruding

'Clicking' is from the drive wheel on the extruder stepper, skipping on the filament. this is due to the bed height being too close to the tip, so the flow of plastic is stopped, this is why it also works in extrude. if it was tip was blocked it would STILL NOT work in extrude function. however, if ...

Re: Up mini printquality

given that when I make a box the press fit lid, fits different if i use different layer heights, then the bigger layer height has more flow and more smoosh maybe, anyway it lays a bit thicker across the gap, and thats why mine looks different...

Good day! I try printing boxes with many thickness (step 0,1mm) and you can see my results: 20131124_214414.jpg Walls with tickness 1,0-1,3mm is good! Tickness 0,5-0,7 is not printable... Hmmmm... Nozzle 0,4mm!!! If you need my test file, i can put him in file hosting. Thanx, good bye!!! http://i96...

Re: Looks like we are up and running

Ktronik Thanks for the education on the current limits and flaws of bed plate size. That comment has been removed from my previous post. With the remaining statement on availability being the primary question in the first instance anyway. Where are my options to buy? I must say, my one was a bit ch...

Re: Looks like we are up and running

Aussie Uppers! Who in Australia still sells The Up Plus v1. I have found one or two places and I still have to check out a few remote control/model car etc places local to me. I'm not sure that the auto level and height upgrade is worth the extra cost to me. Personally I am looking forward to a fut...

Re: Up Plus 2: Platform too cold, serious ABS warping

Julia and I both have the UP plus, not the 2, so don't have computer controlled nozzle or bed leveling, but can tell you how the system works, so you can track the issue down... I feel Julia, roller, ect, have a FIRM handle on what does what with the system... this is more the point I feel, of our p...

Re: Up Plus 2: Platform too cold, serious ABS warping

Basic adhesion problems are usually related more to initial bed height and levelness than bed temperature. Bed temperature is more critical in preventing warpage of ABS, which can cause the print to lift from the printing bed, a secondary effect. There are many threads here with adhesion tips. Perf...

Re: Possible Raspberry pi setup

There is a whole host of more functions I would like to add via microcontrollers...all the stuff it does not currently do now....that I want it to... also I would be interested to know, how it saves the 'print file' to the SD card, it would store it sliced and ready to go I would think, I wonder if ...

Re: the same corner of all prints lifts up

So you have a UP plus 2, with auto leveling... I removed my heat bed, and applied a thermal paste to the heating element, and bottom of bed surface, I found that my 'heat' level to bed increased, and I had more a even heated bed. I don't use a heat pad, (UP supplied 'glove') but some do, as your ele...

NO, mechanically level the bed first, via the little screws underneath.... only then use the cal platform function.

Re: Still problems with 1 corner of my printbed

Sounds like your print BED is NOT level, you need to check that it is level in the maintenance screen, by moving the head around and checking the height is the same, it will be lower where it lifts up, don't worry about printing the calibration example just yet, level your print bed first, and you w...
