Printrbot become smaller,simpler and cheaper

It is not the best in the market but I think this printer is a good start for primary students to start learning about 3D printing technology. :)

Cyrus Low-cost 3D printer

Ok, another 3D printer on the Kickstarter. Remind me of the Soliddodle but at least this one is better than the J-Rev 3D printer featured earlier on the KS.

Another positive review on Up Plus from CNet

"Of the three 3D printers I've used so far, the $1,599 Afinia H-Series H479 is my favorite. That doesn't mean it's perfect, but it's a more precise, and more flexible machine than 3D Systems' first-generation Cube printer, and it's significantly easier to use than the first-generation MakerBot Repli...

Another 'briefcase' 3D printer at Kickstarter

2013 is really the year of 3D printers. No doubt, this new 3D printer called J-rev is quite different with the others and has interesting concept but the question is how stable is the printer when it is printing. Guess what, a Play Doh 3D Printer for only USD50

Who will guess that Play Doh will produce a 3D printer for kid and it works with iPad, no kidding. It seems once our children have grown up, 3D printer will be as common as mobile phone like nowadays. What's next? This week, 2 more 3D printers were introduced to the market. One, Rigidbot, that has big build volume and another one, the Buccaneer, has a small build volume, smaller than our Up Plus. http://www.3ders.org/articles/20130327-fully-expandable-rigidbot-3d-printer-reaches-funding-goal-in-one-day.html h...

Re: Filament spool holder and guide for UP! Plus

Hi guys, Just wanted to post my new filament spool holder and guide that I made for the UP! Plus. The spool holder that comes with the printer only takes the narrow spools that PP3DP sells. The spool holder I've created will allow for a 100mm wide spool and 250mm diameter spool to fit on the printe...

Re: What are some pros and cons of the UP! Plus?

Been using Up Plus for 4 months. Overall is a great experience using it especially for someone like me who doesn't have a clue about 3D printing before. The software is super easy to understand and use. The 'only 'major' problem I have encountered is clogged nozzle which is easy to solve. I switched...
