Re: Spool holder

I have uodated my files on thingyverses and added a few things. I noticed on your description you put "The 1kg Up brand filament supplied by the company that produce the filament however do not fit as they are much wider." I didn't know Up did a 1kg spool? Is this by the people that manufacture for...

Re: ABS and ABS+

Not sure about suppliers in the UK, but I've had great success using the Zortrax "Z Filament series" ABS (and at a reasonable price too). Like the Up filaments it's designed to run at higher temps, so it can be used even without a temp mod. Does the Z Filament separate for the models easily like th...

ABS and ABS+

Hi Guys, I recently bought some 500g Up ABS from Turns out that although it is in the same same packaging as ABS it is actually ABS+ which is shiny and not as good for raft and support removal. I had this confirmed from Up Support. Apparently the filament is identified by the code starting C-11 for ...

Re: UP Box environment

I would suggest to use the latest print head cover and bracket available in the spare parts folder of software 2.17, checking the white plastic cap on the gear is on tight and using OEM PP3DP/TierTime ABS filament I've not needed to change to the new print head cover yet but I was wondering does th...

Re: Octave Temperature Switch on Up Box

Hey Steelmans, Does the temp switch for the old afinia/up! work on the new UpBox and H800? If so, what is the success rate for prints with 3rd party ABS? I have been waiting for Octave to come out with one for the Upbox but have not seen one yet... Yes its the same temp switch. I've not used 3rd pa...

Re: [BUG REPORT] Calibration model fails before completing r

I was also using the Mac version but I changed to Windows as it wouldn't print without a raft.

I never want to use Windows again so installed Parallels Desktop on my Mac and it works superb. The Windows version of the Up software is much better (if still limited and ugly).

Re: Support ticket replies

I'm using 2.15 on the Mac. It seems it is the neglected version and I'm starting to think that might be the source of it not printing without a raft. I'm not new to 3D printing and I know the bed is flat within less than 0.1mm. It has been checked with gauges and rather unnecessarily a DTI. I wonder...

Re: Support ticket replies

Thanks for the reply. I do forget that China still have the luxury of total shutdown for their holidays. I still find it shocking that someone isn't answering phones/emails. My raftless problem isn't with nozzle heights or table calibration. I have followed every piece of forum advice on the subject...

Re: UP Software 2.17

Having used a few different 3D printers now, I would suggest that the Up software is really letting the printer down. I have an Up Box and whilst I am having a few teething issues it is a great printer and deserves a much better user experience on the software side. I would suggest that pp3dp have a...

Re: UP BOX raft separation from model problems

I'm having similar problems. I have now tested all layer heights on the same model... 0.1mm - - OK but is still hard to remove 0.15mm - OK 0.2mm - GOOD (but not great with the new material) 0.25mm - BAD cannot be removed without damaging the model 0.3mm - BAD cannot be removed without damaging the m...

Support ticket replies

Does anyone know how long it usually takes to get a reply to support tickets? Are they on holiday or something? I have an Up Box and having a few issues trying to print without a raft and also getting the raft/support to separate from the model on any layer heights other than 0.15 or 0.2mm. Also I w...

If any others on here are looking to add an Octave Temperature Switch to their Up Box I have produced a simple spacer to mount it. The spacer fits under the print head fan and holds the Octave wires and existing mounting clip securely.... https://www.myminifactory.com/object/spacer-mount-to-fit-an-o...

Replaced my Robox with an Up Box!

Hello, I'm a new Upper. I just bought an Up Box to run alongside my CEL Robox but since buying the Up last week I haven't even switched the Robox on! The Up Box is an amazing machine but then you guys already know that because you are all already here. Already ordered an Octave temp hack and some Bu...
