Re: FixUP3D Einstellungen

Re: Turn off the beeping noise

You could also solder a resistor from the + terminal of the buzzer to GND to silence it. Or a poti. Or add a switch. But physically blocking the membrane is the only option that won't void warranty and make it silent. Caps don't help much since the sound is really intense and will also escape throug...

Re: Turn off the beeping noise

What I did: I took a small screw and GENTLY screwed it into the hole of the beeper :-) The way you do this: Turn slowly and test if printer still beeps after every turn. At some point you will have reached the membrane of the beeper, then you will just hear a silent rattling or buzzing. By retractin...

I guess you are talking about 3rd party PLA?
You will need to lower your temperature via the SoftMod and maybe give extra coolers a thought.
The filament-oiling is really simple and might even solve your problem.

Re: Any experience with PET, PETG, HIPS, etc.?

Flexible filament failed for me. Try Sainsmart flexible TPU filament, works great for me on PLA setting on Boroscilate glass. But you can't use rafts or support as it is very difficult or impossible to remove in most cases. But I think this is the case with any flexible filament... http://www.sains...

Re: Problem in printing some parts

I found that orientation and order of parts plays a role too. I print 90% raftless, so the first layer is key to success. Some directional combinations seem to tend ripping off / loose contact, others do better. Also filament-diameter and other parameters may affect the amount of material put out. I...

Re: Metal pad on stepper motor for magnet

2k Acrylate usually does the trick.
Also install some extra fans on your stepper to keep it cooler.

@mr_x
I was wondering if you know the type of stepper-driver used in the Mini.
Second question is if you know the max current they are set / able to deliver.

Re: My final PLA solution…

Oh, I am talking about 3rd party PLA filament of cause. A friend has a Mini too and prints fine with a roll of filament that does not print right at all on my Mini. I guess it's fair to assume quite a spread in tendency to CLUNK! amongst the printers. So far I found that the motor seems not to be th...

My final PLA solution…

It has been said here before and I finally tried it: Putting some canola oil onto the PLA filament to keep it from jamming, aka "KLUNK! KLUNK!". And it works REALLY well. I use the software-temp-mod on my Mini plus two extra fans on the extruder-stepper. That already helped, but it was always close ...

Re: change color/filament during print

Make sure to use a POINT instead of the COMMA!
So 2.5 instead of 2,5…
And you can also manually pause and resume.
Multicolor-prints are pretty!

Re: PLA stuck behind gear - possibilities to clean this up?

Do NOT open any stepper-motor. You will break it! But you can take apart the whole head, exposing the drive-wheel. That is simple. Just make sure to never take out all 4 long screws from the stepper at the same time! Try adding two 40mm fans to your stepper. The problem with the Mini is: The stepper...

Tried ASA.
Has a nice feel to it, kinda more "brittle" than PLA, jams fast on the Mini.
Flexible filament failed for me.

Re: Anyone have any good idea for webcam MODS?

I would do something with a little pan-head and magnets.
So you can find a good position - and the case is metal, so magnets stick very well.
What cam do you want to use?
