Re: extruder block temperature errors

Hi I had this problem for a while, although it was intermittent. I would wiggle the ribbon cable connector, at the extruder, and it would be OK for awhile. Eventually I got a new ribbon cable and the problem has not re-occurred. Thank you for this information. My Up!Plus has the same temperature err...

Re: New desktop 3D printer from Tiertime

Hi S o I bought a Flashforge Creator Pro and it prints also very good; its minus - the software is horrible. I have a now dead Up!Plus and a Flashforge Creator. My Flashforge continues to crank out countless prints used for prototyping by a motorbike company, a refrigerated truck fabricating company...

Re: In the market for another 3d printer

Hi Good on you Bizilla. I have the older wooden casing Flashforge and the print quality is excellent. Using Makerware instead of Replicator G will give fast slice times and great prints. I have also looked at their new model and am tempted Whatever everyone should do is stay awat from Mbot 3D printe...

Re: What is the chance of getting a larger UP2 this year?

Hi I agree with Julia. There are other 3D printers that do a great job printing larger models, and it is good to now have a huge range of brands to choose from. BUT, when it comes to printing smaller models that require very good accuracy the UP!Plus is hard to beat. I never cease to be amazed when ...

Re: Well this happened quicker than I expected!

Hi Bruce
I saw it too.
Officeworks will do well - selling the filament at works our to be about $300 per kilogram.
I think it may raise customer awareness, who then hopefully do research and discover the mighty Up!.

Re: 3 New Printer from Makerbot

Just had another look at the Z18. Huge build envelope. Dd a heated bed (if not already) and a second extruder for soluble support material, and then I would definitely be interested. Even better, some Chinese knockoff will soon do it for half of the price.

Re: 3 New Printer from Makerbot

Hi all The MakerBot Replicator Z18 at $6,499 with a heated chamber and its large platform looks impressive, but with dual extruders and heated print bed and suitable for ABS filament would be hard to beat - unless it was put up an Up!Mega with a 25X25X25cm build envelope. Add a second extruder (temp...

Re: brass extruder nozzles stupidity or business

Hi Bruce When you used the solder filament, did it successfully produce a model. A photo wood be good. Did the solder have flux in it? If yes, then the flux would have been corrosive. If you did produce a model, and the flux was the corrosive agent, then all that is needed is a filament with similar...

Re: Stratasys vs. Afinia patent issue

Hi. I think in OZ the Inspire S200 is about $10,000 plus GST up to about $30,000 plus GST for the D290 . But These price are only what I have been told by other 3D printer users. All have heated print chambers, About $200 / kilo for filament. Expensive maybe, but print quality and support removal ar...

Hi Roller. Re: Not that uncommon. Maybe the great firewall of China getting in the way. Re: Stratasys vs. Afinia patent issue

Hi all Re Julia's post. The "suing" part comes when they try to calculate how much they have been injured financially by the infringement. I wonder how many of us Uppers would have purchased a 3D printer being offered by Stratasys had the Up!Plus had not been on the market. Considering that the Mojo...
