Failed print

So, I designed season greetings and was gonna print them twice in one go, to save time. This way the print was quite big, so I figured: big hole and fast printing... HUGE mistake; I went to see how my print was doing... on one side the raft came off and my first warping (tidal wave comes closer :oop...

Re: Stratasys vs. Afinia patent issue

Hi. I think in OZ the Inspire S200 is about $10,000 plus GST up to about $30,000 plus GST for the D290 . But These price are only what I have been told by other 3D printer users. All have heated print chambers, About $200 / kilo for filament. Expensive maybe, but print quality and support removal a...

Re: Stratasys vs. Afinia patent issue

Lawrence; what budget are we talking for those Inspire priners? They show no prices, so I can only guess around $10K?

Re: UP minî ervaringen

Re: Form Futura Flex EcoPLA

Too bad this won't work on an Up! Mini; how to get 210°C? Could find lots of use for it tho'... Same as we do on the Up Plus - put resistors in series with the hot end thermocouple. I don't have a mini so I don't know the physical constraints but I'm pretty sure that electrically it works the same....

Re: Now I know what shell mode is for...

Shell Mode prints without internal support, but it does do external support. If you want no support at all, you can select "base only" or whatever it's called from one of the support pop-up menus; I forget which one right now. I found out by now; I printed the solid file of Volgarr - a videogame ch...

So, am I correct when I say shell mode prints your object as a hollow object without exterior support?

Might try it on my Mini...

Filament after a print

So, I printed my own "Hello World"-test: a selfmade 1cm³ cube of the PP3DP-logo.

After it finished, some filament curled out of the nozzle. What to do with that; cut that off or leave it there?

Hello from the Dutch speaking side of BELGIUM!

I'm just another UP! Mini user. :D

Tested the Up! Mini yesterday with my self created 3D Cube of the PP3DP logo cube (I LOVE thinkercad). Nice first print!
