Finger press engine

Hi I'm using TurboCAD as my design program. It is the most difficult software I have ever tried to use. I was not getting anywhere until I found the mechanical tutorial by textualcreations. It take you keystroke by keystroke through the entry of the finger press engine. After I entered the engine, I...

Re: Filament not sticking to platform

Hi Ynx for the reply. I gave it a 1 hr preheat without luck. I also noticed that the perf board seems to be warped more than it has been. The nozzle was clicking just about all over the print area. I think room heat is the answer for both the printer and me. 65 F is a bit chilly. I was thinking of t...

Re: Filament not sticking to platform

Hi I just developed a similar problem. Yesterday, I did not have a problem printing. Today, I cannot get the raft to stick to the perf board. The difference is that the wx has turned colder and the workshop cooled off to about 65 F. I live in Virginia and were are getting a nice noreaster. I guess I...

Re: Crysta-Line Transparent ABS

Hi
Nice job. I had no idea what the resistor values would be. Could you have used a make before break switch?

Tnx

Re: Crysta-Line Transparent ABS

Hi
How do you control your print head temp? It seems you have more steps than the ones I see online.

Tnx

Re: New user questions

Hi
Tnx for the reply. I got the clicking in some spots doing my last print. It did stop after the first layer. I had not thought about flipping the perf board. I will try it.

Tnx

New user questions

Hi I've had my Afinia for 5 days now and have some operational questions. When I remove a print from the perf board, some of the plastic remains in the holes. Is there an easy way to remove it or do I continue using the board and let the plastic remain in the holes? Is there a coating, other than th...

Re: [FEATURE REQUEST] Wait for platform to get to temp

Hi
I agree about the to bottom button. I would like to see the head and bed temps on the main screen.

Re: Testing befor buying

Hi It looks ok on the UP software. Could you or someone look for a .ini file? I e-mailed my model to Afinia. They loaded it and the print preview worked. I think the problem is that, not having a machine, I've never done an initialize so whatever is setup/configured is not. I would really like to se...

Testing befor buying

Hi I am thinking about buying an Afinia machine. I like to know as much about a product before I spend the money. I downloaded the software and installed it. I generated a model, saved it as an .stl file and loaded it into the software. It loads and displays correctly. When I do a print preview, I g...
