Re: New user and CURA support almost integrated

No worries dude. I've just noticed that I hadnt done the Axes transform correctly so parts were printing correctly but mirrored as X and Y axes definitions also need swapping. This didnt show up when printing basic shapes such as cubes and cylinders or figurines for my daughter. As soon as I did som...

How to improve Extruder filament clamping pressure

So i been trying to use some other filaments such as TPU, Colorfabb XTCF20 (yup have fitted steel nozzle!) and some Big Rep HT Pro (vern nice filament with high glass temp like ABS but almost zero warping unlike ABS!).. Anyway the extruder would shave the filament in the ProHT and Colorfabb XTCF20 a...

Re: using up box plus + craftware

Hi kawadr, I've recently got CURA working fully with the UPBox by creating a PostProcessing script that modifies the Gcode to account for the nuances of the UPBOX like strange axis definition and -z height. The script is located in the New Uppers section in the CURA thread. So, most slicers, Slic3r,...

Re: New user and CURA support almost integrated

The script should work with CURA 4.0 no problem but best using on 3.6 to start with to rule out any gremlins or quirks. I've attached the script to this as a Zip file and also a starter profile which you can import into CURA by going to manage profiles and selecting import. Please let me know how yo...

Re: New user and CURA support almost integrated

Yeah a good few pics but cant share on this forum easily??? Is there a way of embedding an image in the post. Ive also notice that the python script text has lost all its indenting etc.. so likley not to work as CURA is extremley fussy about processing python scripts. IS there a way I can embedd the...

New user and CURA support almost integrated

Hi All, Got an UPBOX+ for a great price from a local shop near me (I already have 3 other printers and use CURA heavily for those). I have developed a CURA Python Post Processing script that is almost there allowing the UPBOX+ to work using CURA 3.6 as the slicer. The axes all home correctly, the Z ...
