Issues with UPbox upgrade to WIFI CPU

Hi all, I was so excited when I heard about the upgrade that I bought it straight away. I installed it and it worked like a charm over WIFI. I haven’t used my printer for a while and tried to start it up but I cannot get upstudio to even see the printer over USB. Windows recognises it as a UPBOX+ (W...

Look at this, the same frustrating thing happened to me. They should put up a big banner on the installation page to point to this error.

Re: up studio installation error

I had to do this guys. I tried countless times even with older versions of the software. The problems started when it updated within the program itself, next time I booted up it disappeared so I tried to download it manually and could not get it installed. I then tried dowloading older versions (whi...

Re: Printing flexible filament - how to slow the print speed down

What type of parts are you printing?

I have a roll of flex here that I gave up on quite a while ago because of gel like extruding and extruding stops (I will try your tip on unrolling the filament for that).

Re: Printing PETG

WE HAVE A WINNER!!! Ok, I drilled my hotend out with a 2.05mm drill, thanks for the tip pleppik!, (it's what I had lying around here but I am sure that it actually drilled a bit oversize) and started getting further in the print but still had issues. I then started playing around with the FixUp3D se...

Re: Our first attempt at two colours in the one print

Very Cool! Looks great!

It is something that I have been meaning to try. How did the layers bond? Easily? Is it ABS or PLA? Did you just guess at which layer to pause it or did you watch the print and pause it manually where you wanted to change over?

Re: Printing PETG

Thanks pleppik! I guarantee that I will have more questions to come! I have not been using rafts and it seems to be sticking really well to my bed, with me staying further away that I would with ABS or PLA, with hairspray and a glass bed. My problem main problem is the first few layers come out real...

Printing PETG

Hi all, So I think I have pretty much got the hand of PLA and ABS printing on my UP Box. Hardly ever any bad prints with the aftermarket stuff that I buy. I have the software temp mod that I use to mainly adjust temps. I bought some PETG and am struggling my butt off to print with it. I have my head...

Re: Glass Bed on my UPBOX

Sorry Furnbird... I haven't been on here in a while. I just posted in your other thread. YES the glass bed is AWESOME! I still use the same one that I originally had cut, but like I said earlier BEWARE where you put your clips so that your print head does not hit it. On mine I remove the top two fin...

Re: Perfboard replacement

I was lucky enough to get 3 perf boards and one smooth board with my Up Box when I opened it up (I think that the did it by mistake but I am not complaining) but I do not use them anymore. Why you say? Well because I went to a glass bed and won't go back. Better adhesion, nice smooth bottom of print ...

Re: UP Box environment

I also did not like the way that the original boards clipped in. You could tighten the screws once in was in place to try to get it level but then it was near impossible to remove the board because of the tension on them. That seems to have been my biggest problem with my box so far, the "bubbles" t...

Re: My UP BOX problems

Oh wow Steelmans I am actually really sorry to hear about your problems. If I were in the same situation I would ask for a new unit.

I have been pretty lucky, not many complaints about my box. I hope that your supplier steps "UP" and replaces your unit for a new and improved one.

Re: Glass Bed on my UPBOX

Ok, A bit more feed back... I LOVE the glass bed! Once you get your height and temps right you get beautiful prints. I will share pics of on the bed,the awesome cheapo hairspray that works magic and the bottom of the print as soon as it came off the bed. I highly recommend it. Just watch out where y...

Re: UP Box environment

I have just recently printed it out and I also had the same worries about the top clearance. It seems to all be fine once fitted and I have printed with it but would like to know what the advantage is? That the filament does not need to travel in a bit of a curve? I honestly have not had a problem w...

Re: Support ticket replies

Which version of the software are you using? I am using 2.17 at the moment with this: http://www.pp3dp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=54781 When printing with raft after using 2.17 it seems that the removal has improved a lot. I also started only recently started printing on glass. It seems to print...

Re: Glass Bed on my UPBOX

It works!! :D I used hair spray to get it to stick (it works REALLY WELL). I still got some curling up on the one edge but then I remembered that I still had values in the platform calibrate boxes so that could be a cause. Another cause could be that I was printing a bit too quickly. I am happy with...

Re: Black ABS get's white...

Do you mean setting wise or it does it but doesn't stick?

Nozzle height is VERY important when printing raftless and your bed needs to be as level as possible. You will find that the auto nozzle height detection is probably not accurate enough. You will have to set your nozzle height up yourself.

Re: Glass Bed on my UPBOX

Ok so challenge accepted... I used the magnets for the print head to fix my dial indicator to it. I then inched the table up and powered down so I could move the axis by hand. Used the 3 leveling screws to get it pretty much spot on. Oh and I had a piece of 2mm glass cut and just used clips to fix i...
