Re: Printing on standard PLA

I agree with you. Prints longer than 1h are not possible. The fillament stucks becuase of a very hot extruder motor. I've stopped working with PLA till the new cooler assembly for the motor will be ready. I'm trying to build something with 2x40mm fans, one for the motor and one for the printed piece...

This is another bigger print going smoothly through my Up! Mini with the same setup, in around 1h.

Re: Printing on standard PLA

Hi, I will try this evening a bigger print. I forgot to mention that I've removed the top door of the printer to keep a smaller filament tension. Extruder fan is in ON position. If I try to use a lower temperature, the filament stuck in the extruder after a few layers. Thank you for your feedback. I...

Printing on standard PLA

Hi everybody, After successfuly printing a lot of objects in ABS (both original and standard with temp mod) today I've done my first print in standard PLA. I'm using NuNu's white PLA from Amazon. Considering many issues related to PLA printing I was skeptical, but the result is far beyond my expecta...

Re: Heated Bed Question

I've done a dual bed temp mod (60/100C).
The problem is that the bed heating grid in Mini is barely able to heat more than 70-80C in the best case, even after one hour.
Anyone tried to use some additional heating resistors? The bed is powered at around 18V.

Re: raft sticks to perfboard, but part lifts up from raft (A

Hi, Same problem for me. If you print without a raft you will get the same warping and the surface will look horrible because of the perf board. The only solution was to build the bed temp mod for 100degC. After that everything was perfect. You need to wait a lot till the bed reach around 85degC bef...

Re: Bed temp mod

Hi,

It seems that even at 85degC, the warping issue is no more present, so I'm happy now. Maybe the 100degC sensor will trigger during the hot summer days, so I''ll keep it for more safety.

Thank you for your feedback.

Bed temp mod

Hi everybody, I've made a bed temp mod for my Up! mini, which allows you to choose between 60degC and 100degC, see when the heating is powered up and when the temperature is at the desired level. You can see it here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:662388 I have one issue. The bed never goes up mor...

Re: Warping between the raft and the piece

I have tried with no raft, including some other light pieces designed in Thinkercad (7cmx7cm base) with the same warping. I can print with acceptable warping only pieces smaller than 3-4 cm. Considering this, stated 120x120x120mm capabilities with original filament and no printer mods are in my opin...

Re: Warping between the raft and the piece

Hi,
Tried again in fast mode, 1h bed preheat. Still warping (on top of the raft), but now in two corners only.

I will try again without a raft.

Warping between the raft and the piece

Hi all, I'm trying to print the following piece: http://www.thingiverse.com/download:899464 I'm getting warping between the raft and the piece, using the default printing values. The raft is perfectly stick to the bed (I've taken the picture after I've started to remove it from the bed, so it may lo...
