Re: Software temp vs hotend temp

This a truly classic case of what happens with and "all metal" hotend, the PLA can swell as it warms up and it will stick to the side walls of the steel barrel, this is why most machined build for PLA use a PTFE (nylon) tube or insert for the hotend, I switched to a Recreus hot end for my "UP Plus ...

Software temp vs hotend temp

Hi all, After doing a few mods to be able to print with PLA on my Up! Mini I tried to rule out temperature issues on the stepper motor and feeder gear. Using a thermal camera to measure the temperature while printing I've noticed something odd. The temperature in the 'maintenance' menu indicates 207...

Re: Thumbwheel Temp Mod Files

It has only take me 19 months to get around to documenting how to build a pushwheel/thumbwheel temp mod for everyone. I'm really sorry but I've finally added the instructions to thingiverse for those who don't get how to work out the electronics. Please send me feedback here so I can improve the do...

Re: WORKING: SOFTWARE TEMP MOD - ADJUSTABLE LAYER HEIGHTS !

Great work Mr_X and Forsaken! I've got the software temp mod running on OSX using Parallels. I used the precompiled version of the *.dll. In the standard software, printing without raft the printer still printed a one layer raft. This seems to be gone in de temp mod. I may have overlooked this but i...

Re: Print problem (image)

All the time. Especially while printing multiple objects. This printer works best while printing a single object in the middle of the platform. Fully heated bed, nozzle height can't be better. Tried adjusting the support raft. Tried it with the wind barrier closed and open. If you come across some g...

Re: Very weird model shift issue

Hi All, No solution yet? Apart from having serious warping issues on these models I have the same problem. It has happened to me twice now. Two of the same models shifted on a certain level. A few sides are square but some curve to one side. It seems to be shifting in the direction of Y-. The prints...

Re: Printer X-axis offset

Nevermind, I'll try to contact pp3dp for the STL-file of the X-axis Belt Block. I tried to bend the arm of the switch with no result. The switch seems to be ok.I did the following. The printer prints with a offset of 7.5mm in X-axis to the door. That means the switch has to be touched earlier.I made a...
