Re: Spare parts for the original UP!

Piranha32, I tried repeatedly to attach what I think are the STLs of the parts I think you are looking for. But it keeps saying it will not allow files with that extension. I also tried to do .UP3 style as well and it would not allow it. If you shoot me a PM with an email address, I will forward th...

Spare parts for the original UP!

Hello, I'm looking for a model of the limit switch block for the printing head drive for UP!v1. I know there are models of the spare parts in UP! software directory, but there is no model for the original model, using optical switches. Unfortunately I don't have old versions of the software anymore ...

Re: UP software working on Linux

I've been running UP! on Windows running in VirtualBox on Linux almost since the day 1 (over a year). The only problem I had was finding the correct combination of acceleration settings in the driver and VB to get the 3D view working (instead of changing 3D acceleration settings). The Mac version of...

Re: Up! in Linux + More Options

Add to that, we've already paid - so existing customers already lose that buying power. Sure, we could stop buying consumables - but that's at a slight print quality loss for us given the current options available (although I haven't seen the results from reprapsource.com). Luring new customers int...

Re: Up! in Linux + More Options

I'm not sure how PP3DP will view this but I'm pretty sure I can get it working under Linux... Is anyone interested in a Linux print client? It might take me a couple of months in my off time... [Add to that I'm on holiday soon hehe] I also want Linux! Why the need to pay Windows license when Linux ...

Re: UP! Software upgrade to V1.10

Can I use the new USB driver with the 1.08 software? I'd like to get 64-bit, but I don't have the new firmware. The new software does not require firmware upgrade. The "ROM upgrade" is just an option for firmware upgrade when a new image becomes available. The 64bit driver works fine with older pri...

Re: UP! Software upgrade to V1.10

V1.10: 1. Fix the Firmware V2.0 Write/Read error. 2. Add "Update Rom" function, update the parameters and programs of UP! printer. 3. Replace the old driver with WinUSB driver, Support 64bit Windows system. Note: 1. "Update Rom" function need "ROM" file, we will upload it later. 2. User must remove...

Re: Printer stops printing without a reason

I decreased the size of the model, 1.5mm on each side, but it failed to print again with identical error message. I noticed an interesting thing: turns out that the model on the printing bed is twisted. In front of the model the distance between the support and the edge of the platform is about 3-4m...

Re: Printer stops printing without a reason

I entered once again the same calibration vales. The printing stopped even earlier than before, and the error message was "Move error"

Re: Printer stops printing without a reason

Can you see the system status on the right bottom corner? Is it "Motion Error"? or other status? I think it was just the timer. I'll try to print once again and check the status. If the printer stop at the same place, I guess you have make the calibration. The build size is smaller than without cal...

Re: Printer stops printing without a reason

I tried reseating the connector at the printing head, but it did not help. Printer just freezes, without any error messages.

Re: Printer stops printing without a reason

It is a custom part I modeled for a device I build. The zip file contains the STL I used for printing. I tried to post just the STL file, but the board does not allow for upload of files with .stl extension.

Re: Printer stops printing without a reason

Changing resolution to .4mm did not help much. Printing went just a little bit farther and stopped again. Still while printing the most bottom layer.

Printer stops printing without a reason

Hello, I tried to print a fairly big model, the model has been processed properly by the software and sent to the printer, but printing stops after printing a few lines of the lowest layer of the support raft. The width of the model is almost as big as the distance between printing limits, but still...

Re: Need advise on setting the nozzle height

I think the problem that you cant raise your bed more is that the setup is at 140mm? Click on setup and change the value to higher than 140mm, you cant raise the bed in the maintain window more than what it says in the setup window (nozzle height). That makes sense. Anyway, I set in setup as the no...

Re: Need advise on setting the nozzle height

I set the nozzle height using a piece of thicker board to measure the distance between the platform and the nozzle instead of sheets of paper as suggested in the manual. The calibration model seems to print well.

Need advise on setting the nozzle height

I have a little problem with setting the nozzle height. After installing the platform and initializing the printer, I went to the nozzle height setting. I followed the procedure from the manual, first raised the platform to 125mm, then gradually raised it higher, but after reaching the height of 140...

Re: I've got my UP!

Just finished assembling :) - The screw holding the feeder is too short. It barely touches the thread below, there is no way to screw it in. After 10 minutes of trying I grabbed a slightly longer screw from my toolbox (10mm AFAIR), which worked like a charm. I have no idea how you manage to put it ...

Yes, mine was 95.
