Filament Guide Goes Into Reel.

Post by Marauderz » Sun Sep 11, 2016 2:10 pm

I went into my room to check up on my print job and was shocked to see the filament holder have stuck to the printer.

I put it back to its usual position.

What had happened? Somehow the filament guide tube has went INTO and under the spool. [note the white guide tube going under the spool]

When I first fed the filament in the printer the guide tube was in this position.

After some checking what I found out was that the friction of the filament going through the tube was actually pulling the tube down and through the rubber slot, I guess I need to either tighten the tube, or I'll print some sort of block to prevent the tube from going through...

Unless of course, someone tells me that I'm doing something wrong right now? :P

Are you sure that the filament does not have a knot in it?

No, I'm not sure if the filament tangled, but if it was tangled, wouldn't the filament not be able to feed through then? Cause... it does feed through and complete the print.

Even with a know it might be able to "just" feed, but will be a struggle. Remove the spool and pull off a few meters until you are certain the filament doesnt have a knot.
