Re: UP Software Beta Test Version 0.9
awesome! Though I get file not found.
edit: it now seems to be working.
-I was so hoping for a temperature controller.
-I don't see a way of pre-heating the bed.
-I don't see a way of initializing the printer without clicking the print button.
-The layout looks cool but isn't as user friendly as 2.18.

Re: UP Software Beta Test Version 0.9
I downloaded successful just now.But this file is pretty big.
It was about 74M

Up Studio
I see there's a new download in the up3d.com downloads section called "UP! Installation Executable For Windows Version:0.0.0.9"
The software calls itself Up Studio and it looks nothing like the previous Up! software. The visual experience seems to be more in line with the Windows 10 3D Builder software.
What are your thoughts?

Re: UP Software Beta Test Version 0.9
What are the system requirements for this software, especially regarding GPU capabilities? On my Lenovo T400 it does not work at all, all I see when starting the application is a transparent window with an automatically hiding top window bar.
Re: UP Software Beta Test Version 0.9
Yes, finally!
Thank you for releasing this, I think it looks nice. I do have to learn to find my way a bit.
- I like the lithophane added option, other software like CubiCreator had this and it's a nice bonus.
- I think the inialize option could be easier and now it reads ''Is the printer inialized?'' but I think it should read ''Initialize 3D printer?''.
- I couldn't find the table preheat option. If this is fixed, maybe an option to get the printer to start printing the job after a preselected table heat is reached would be nice
Like: ''print instantly'' or ''after table heat reaches 80 degrees''.
- Are the support settings different? I see now you can select ''No support'' in stead of ''only base''. Previously there sometimes still would be support material even with support angle 10 and only base. True supportless/No support would be great if it works!
I see you can register serial numbers/printers. Is there a reason for customers to do this?
Thanks for this release and developing up!dates

I have a brand new(as of yesterda) lenovo W550s with an i7 and it seems to even lag with that.coredump wrote:What are the system requirements for this software, especially regarding GPU capabilities? Re: UP Software Beta Test Version 0.9
I wondered how to merge files. The manual in the software (under home/help/up studio introduction) shows it under Menu 2 but I didn't know how to select multiple files, I found you can select more models with ALT and then merge them for one uniform raft.
In the manual I also see the continuous heating option after printing (Keep Heating), that's not in the beta software yet.

Re: UP Software Beta Test Version 0.9
Mine won't install either, see the attached error message. I am running it on Windows 7 on my MacBook Pro via Parallels.
Any chance of a screenshot anyone?

Re: Up Studio
A few initial issues I've seen.
1. Loss of ability to "pan" using the right mouse button along with rotate and zoom.
2. If using an "Icon" interface have a text explanation "pop up" when hovering the cursor over icon buttons.
3. Loss of ability to "pre-heat" platform before printing.
4. unable to reduce overall window size like most every other windows programs.
Hope this helps.

Re: UP Software Beta Test Version 0.9
I've just Googled the error and it looks like the problem is because my Windows is 32 bit rather than 64 bit.
Can this be sorted as I am keen to help test and offer feedback.

Hi Janson, can you ask your developer team to make only 2 things that make a big difference between up and competitors:
- Hability to print only one layer walls... to print wings of flying models (with bottons and tops)
- Temperature control, please...

- When you click the virtual part in building box, would be nice if the volume been shown also.
- Large part cut tool....
- Place with level

Re: Up Studio
Is it possible to have a text box display what an icon is when cursor is on an icon as its a bit confusing what some of the icon's are meant to do. I fully understand its an early beta but I like it
Re: Up Studio
New software for the up?
completely misunderstood focus
Why not make focus on functionality and not all kinds fancy useless and heavy stuff. The old up software is ok, but missing all kind of configuration.
completely misunderstood focus
