Pre-heat option ?

Post by YoHidden » Tue Apr 10, 2018 5:49 pm

Hello there,

I've observed that in the last version of the Up software (macOS), the pre-heat option has been removed. And I mean the one in the print dialog, which forced the print start to be delayed until the pre-heat time had been elapsed. It is still in the config dialog, together with the button to begin pre-heating. But now, I have to manually await for the pre-heat time to finish before launching the print job. If I launch the print before pre-heat ending, the printer will heat up the nozzle as usual and start printing as soon as it reaches the right temperature in the nozzle regardless the pre-heat time elapsed.

Is this the way it is intended to be from now on or am I missing an option ?

Thanks.

Hi,

I'm on mac and this option now is in the advanced printing options. Check on the top right of printing dialog, you should see two smalls triangles, click it and you find the pre-heat option.
Check on settings the pre-heat time before.

Salut,
Josep M

Wow... thanks !! I didn't even notice those small triangles...

And by the way, now that I can see these advanced options... should the value at the 'Extrusion Width' option match the nozzle diameter ?
