Bed Preheat temperature for PLA

Post by william2772 » Thu Mar 23, 2017 1:48 pm

I am a UpMini 2 user and I am printing a model using PLA. However, I found that the problem of folding raft is quite serious. I have tried many methods to deal with it, like preheating the bed within UpStudio or even preheat the bed manually with a Hairdryer (since the preheat temperature set by upStudio seems to be too low, up to around only 50 C), but all of them fail. The raft still keeps folding up and I stopped the printing process whenever this happens.

The humidity and temperature of the external environment is around 90% and 20 C (Don't know whether these data matter :| ) Any good suggestion to solve this problem? :( Thx a lot.

Have you made sure the bed is level? Also see if you are able to move the nozzle a bit closer to the bed. For PLA 50 degrees should be ample.
