Air Flow Adjustment

Post by Surge » Mon Oct 03, 2016 3:35 am

The manual is not very clear on this - which way should it be set - towards the front or the rear of the printer - for ABS printing?

Thanks

My retailer helped: towards the front diverts air away from the nozzle, so that's the suggested position for ABS prints.

For ABS make sure the air is not blowing on the nozzle/print. So whatever opening faces the nozzle should be closed.

For large models door closed for:
Printing raft
First few layers of model
If you want to improve print quality then open the door up.
Stronger parts
ABS

Door open
Pla, quality gets even better with adding extra cool air
Parts are not as strong
Can cause lifting
