Platform Too Hot / Nozzle Too Cold Errors - FIXED.

Post by Owen Sparks aka Marksman » Wed Jan 30, 2019 5:54 pm

Hi folks, info just in case it's useful to someone in the future.

(1) I had an UPbox+ returning a "Platform Too Hot Error", showing around 270 deg C when it was cold. Changing the Small FFC cable on the underside fixed the issue. I found it easiest to remove the back and left side covers of the machine for access.

(2) I also had a different UPBox returning a "Nozzle Too Cold Error". This time replacing the Larger FFC cable from PCB to Extruder fixed the issue.

Both parts were available from the online TT shop, were delivered quickly and were simple enough to fit.

If you're having similar issues with your printer then I'd start here, they're the most likely culprit and are cheaper than some of the other links in the chain.

Good luck,
Owen S.

I should have stated both these machines are at the end of their life-cycle so this isn't a criticism on quality, just info on things that will wear out over time.

Cheers,
