"Nozzle too hot" error - Up Box+

Post by titaniumapple » Fri Mar 02, 2018 10:01 pm

I have a new Up Box+ but it hasn't printed past about 15 layers since I've had it (UP ABS).

I've changed the ribbon cable, extruder PCB and I have sent it to the supplier and they've changed the hot end. They reported it printing for over 6 hours without a problem but I got it back and tried it and it's still stopping about 15 layers in saying 'nozzle too hot' (at a temp of about 126%).

What could be causing this?

In my opinion that's definitely a hardware problem. I don't think there is anything a user could do wrong that would result in that error.

This reminds me of my first Up Box that I bought about 3 years ago. It was a disaster. Tiertime changed my printer after 8 months of struggles. Among other problems, the printer was giving this error and aborting midprint. That problem was caused by the extruder block assembly.

Now I have 2 Up Box. And they are pretty good.
