PLA Sticked to print bed

Post by nicosalto » Sat Apr 29, 2017 8:57 am

Hi!
i started printing an object and the pla filament ran out at that time.
Now i have a thin layer of PLA sticked to to the print bed, and impossible to remove! I tried with a metal spatula but couldn't remove any of it ...
Does anyone have any tips on how to remove safely the plastic sticked to the bed?

Poke the holes on the bottom. Why is there a huge hole in it?

(1) Did you not get a scraper supplied with the printer?
(2) Also if that's PLA shouldn't you be printing on the smooth print bed not the perfboard?

Cheers,

Yes I got the scrapper, it works ok but sometimes it's not enough.
I have a flat bed, but I have the same issue, there is pla stuck on it, impossible to remove...

Some PLA dissolve in baking soda solution, not sure if this would work for your case...
