Up Box Lubricants : available in rational quantities?

Post by ajohnsonlaird » Sun Mar 27, 2016 5:03 pm

On page 37 of the Afinia H800 manual it recommends lubrication of the printer with Mobil XHP 220 and SHC 630.

Has anyone found a supplier of the XHP 220 in rational quantities? Mrs. Google tells me that it's readily available in 35 lb pails, but that's probably a 400 year supply (or longer).

XHP 222 (not 220) is available in smaller quantities but....

As for the SHC 630 oil, well, same question. A one quart contain seems another lifetime supply.

Makes you wonder what the guys writing the manual were thinking, doesn't it? :)

Well, for what it's worth, I have been using Mobil 1 Synthetic Grease and 3-in-1 multipurpose oil on my printers...

I've always used just standard lithium grease you can find it in small pots.
