edges not clean

Post by toto44 » Tue Dec 22, 2015 9:24 am

I have my UP Box since 3 weeks now, and I am really very pleased with it.
All prints came out nicely and the suppurt removes easiely
Today I finished my first "Long run". It took 26 hours to print these parts.
It went fine, but on one part the edge is very uneven. Maybe someone can help me what caused this?
Resolution was set to 0,15 loose infill, original UP ABS.

Thanks
Toto

looks like the printhead had to jump very fast from 1 side to the 2nd side and got a little bit to hot

you can avoid this by printing 1 part after another :)

You can try tune the support setting to make edge supported. As the edge is very thin, during printing the edge could be warpping slightly so that it collides with the nozzle tip frequently, which result in dark spots and attached bits of plastic.
