Hello,
i have a slightly used Up-Box (20 Hours Print Time).
Since yesterday the Z-Axis is very loud when initializing the Printer.
I wonder if there is a way to reduce this noise ?
Thank you
Joachim

Re: Z-Axis Noise
Maybe you have to remove the back panel with the supplied hex wrench, isn't too hard to do. There may be some dirt/scrap on the axis or some other problem.
First check if there isn't anything on the bottom that obstructs the axis when initializing.

Hi,
thank you for the replie.
When i open the backplate, would you recommend to lubricate the z-axis and if so with which oil or grease?

Re: Z-Axis Noise
Hi, I recommend the same grease as TierTime uses. I always clean the rods or axis first with a lint free cloth and then apply some new lithium grease.

Re: Z-Axis Noise
I recommend sewing machine oil, pour some onto the z screw at the top, then you don't need to remove any covers.

Re: Z-Axis Noise
I had this exact problem - the Z-Axis big turning screw is hard to see when you take off the back panel because it's in the middle behind the motherboard - lube that up (I think I used lithium grease) and it'll solve it instantly
