ooh, nice, might have to make one once I've got it running properly again. I mentioned the same problem a little while ago and was told to download one from that site, but couldn't find any wherever I looked. Are they new?

I've had my printer about a year now and I'm finding the filament is costing me a fortune. I've been monitoring the kickstarter site as there seem to be quite a few desktop extruders begining to be manufactured and these use PLA or ABS pellets which are converted into filament. However some of the early designs are amde of wood and look a bit home made. This whole make your own filament idea looks like a great way to save money, I had a quick search and found a few companies that will supply raw pellets at £3.50 per Kg. I also found a UK company that are selling a more substantial filament extruder(nutralabs.co.uk) and I wondered if any had any experience using one of these.

Hi all !

I see this thread hasn't been used in a while but thought I would ask the question again in case anyone has discovered any new suppliers for the UK.

I recently bought an Up! Plus 2 and so far have used original filament and also the filament that I have for my Zortrax M200 printer (the ABS is virtually identical and also prints at 260). Both filaments are great for support removal and raft removal, but I want more colour options! I have fitted a temp mod so can adjust temperature now without any problem. I tried a reel of Formfutura frosty white ABS that I had and it prints nice at 235, but the raft is a nightmare to remove in comparison with the other filaments. Has anyone discovered any other suppliers that the raft and support removal is good with? I really like the look of the colours available from 3dFilaprint - has anyone tried their filament ?

Cheers,

Jay :D

Jay. I've tried the homegrown ABS from imakr and it printed much the same as the Up OEM stuff. Only real difference is it is much cheaper.

Our product’s main material is a Flexible Rubber filament, but since it’s too costly to order outside Europe, we seek for a reliable supplier within EU. Unfortunately, it’s hard to find one until one of our customer suggested 3D2print for our rubber-like filament supply. It’s such a big relief because we don’t have to spend on costly shipping. From then on, we started ordering other filaments like ABS and PLA from them.
