Support structure Alignments

Post by whryly » Tue May 22, 2012 6:09 am

I am playing with this, but I was hoping that someone might already know the answer.

I am printing small LED prototypes and I need to leave a hole for the wires.
These prototypes are about 2" long, and the hole is about 1/8" x 3/16" (rectangular).
I was trying to get the support structure that prints thru the hole to be lined up with the hole so it would be easier to remove.
I was thinking that if the supports were at 45° and I rotate my part at 45° that would do it, but my tests so far show the supports are oriented to the part itself, not the actual print bed.
Either that, or I'm not doing something right....

Any pointers?
