ABS scrap, dispose or recycle

Post by Deet » Tue Aug 19, 2014 7:18 am

Hi all

What do you guys do with your ABS scrap? Can it be recycled, or at least disposed of in a "ecological" fashion?

One way to reuse ABS raft and support, visit your nearest "beauty supply store" and pick up "empty-clear nail polish bottles with included applicator brush cap" (I paid $1.00 for 3 bottles) and pick up a large cheep bottle of Acetone in the same store (no fragrance) under $6.00, fill bottle 2/3 acetone and snip bits of ABS into bottles to create ABS paint/welding to match parts made.
