UP! Mini+ Mega 2560&Ramps 1.4 Worked!

Good day! Sorry, my English is bad (Im from Russia), but I want share with you my upgrade: Arduino mega 2560 with Ramps 1.4+a4988+Marlin 1.1.9
Printing layer: 0.05mm. Very good result!!!

I cant show good photo with test printing now ((( Later.
a4988 work hush than with stock drivers on original motherboard. In future I try replace tmc2208 (in way from china).

Soldered PCB amplifier for extruder thermo sensor (I think, in UP! Mini PT100) on LM358 and calibrate it in marlin firmware (mini PCB on photo)

All works wery good! But need some tune in firmware and slicer for best result. Now i can use nozzles 0.1 and >

Im use repetier host with slic3r. All manipulations without remove sd card. "Repetier" can send files to sd card via usb.

And I can sell my old motherboard with cpu (fully worked)

Nice! TMC2208 is indeed a fantastic upgrade to get near silent and smooth motion.

What kind of motor current are you running? At least on my up mini 2 there are no specs on the motors, and I tried tuning them to 60mm/s but got errors from the TMC2224 drivres over 4-500mA due to the high inductance of the motors. It'd be interesting to see what kind of speed and currents you get reliable motion at.

Im tune current on driver for motors via formula (on a4988 driver)

Vref= Imax (current motor)*8*RS (resistor on PCB driver's)*0.7
Vref(for my stepper)=0.5*8*0.1*0.7= 0.28v (check on variable resistor and gnd).

speed did not measure. I'll do it later. But first test print on 50mm/s is good. No passes in steps.

May be on your drivers not correct current setup?

Im install in box two power supply ac-dc 220v -> 12v- one (big, 7A for all electronics+DC Step up converter from 12 to 24v for heat bed and extruder. Second (small and stay always on) for arduino and relay only. I made in future power control via arduino and standart button on front panel. Marlin can drives relay module for power on/power off.

PT100 amp ver.2, based on lm324. Better result than lm358. I know, what need install operational amplifier r2r, but I'm did not find him.

Only +5v on amp via arduino. Temp. range -0C....500+++C. I'm calibrate up to 320C.

With TMC drivers really very quietly!!! See later!
