UP Mini raftless ABS printing with PEI success

Post by 3DSTB » Thu Mar 03, 2016 11:39 am

Hi,
im able to print ABS raftless with no warping with PEI.
Image

Bed has to leveled to no tilt. That was not easy.
This works well with 0.1mm and 0.2mm layer (Soft-Mod). On the Pic is a print with 0.1mm. nozzle must be as close as possible to the bed (0.1mm or little bit less).

Where did you get the PEI?

I have tested buildtak... it's nice, but get damaged easy and it's quite expensive.

http://www.amazon.com/Polyetherimide-Na ... B0013HKZTA

you can make 4 boards. Use a 2mm or thicker borosilikat-glass and use 3M 468MP to fix it on the glass.

On PEi you can print also PLA !

I'm looking at ways to try and do this on my mini.
Can you explain what you did?
