Recreus direct fit hot end for Afinia/Up Plus

Post by Krosnyak » Sun Aug 30, 2015 5:44 am

I installed the new Recreus hot end on my Afinia.
It is a direct fit, no other mods required. The beauty is that the hot end comes with a ptfe lined barrel which allows (with a temp mod) to print PLA...
I must say that I do have other mods going on, I replaced the extruder fan with a higher cfm 20mm thick fan and other stuff but, I believe it will also do the job on an unmodified Up/Afinia. Its not yet selectable to purchase on their website, but if you look at the side scrolling slides at the main page, the custom hot end for Up printers pops up. Just shoot them an email and pay with paypal. Euro is dirt cheap now so it is cheaper that a OEM hot end :D

I bought the Recreus before they made this version so I had to mod my UP Plus Pro to fit, I LOVE it!

Drew,
It was thanks to your posts and comments about Recreus that I started looking at them and eventually found this custom part advertised, which is by the way, nothing but what you did with their regular hot end.
Thank you for all you do!
Gonzalo.

You are welcome and enjoy!
Let the kind people at Recreus know how you found them, I'm not affiliated with them but they where very good to me as a customer.
Regards
Drew

Does anyone know where to get one of these anymore? Recreus doesn't seem to carry them, and they haven't returned my emails.

Is there an alternative that a noob like me can install? I'm tried all the heatskink/fan/tempmods with no real success (well, I can print PLA for about 15 mins before the feeder starts slipping).
