USA Distributors

Post by nickw » Sun Apr 07, 2013 5:24 pm

Hi all,
I am thinking of ordering an UP! soon, but had some questions about the USA distributor [x]object inc.
If I order from them and have a problem with the machine, who do I go to about warranty support?
If i do have to get warranty parts etc. through them, what is their reputation for customer service?
Is the filament on their site "certified" by the pp3dp people also?

Thanks in advance. :D

I would recommend the people at:
http://www.octave.com/

I have had great response from them on all issues and they seem more customer satisfaction orientated than "X-Object", I've seen too many unhappy posts about them (X-Object) and Octave has a great selection of "certified" plastics and "off" brands too that work great on my "Up Plus Pro".

+1 for Octave (Octave.com)

I can't speak to the distributor you mention, but I bought mine from Octave and have had great support.

Thanks for the help!
After reading more about the printer from afinia I am allot more confident that this model will be good for me.
I have allot to learn, and it is nice to have so many people willing to offer their knowledge.

I purchased my UP! Plus online from a store by the name of "AC Gears" which is located in New York. Their distributor is x-object. I had to file a warranty claim with x-object for a nozzle block heater in early April and I am STILL waiting for the replacement nozzle block heater. For this reason I can't recommend purchasing from x-object / AC Gears.
